queue llc, a marketing and advertising agency with corporate offices in Raleigh and in the Columbia, SC area, announced today that it will partner with Anna’s Angels Foundation to provide the local charity with marketing and public relations assistance. The joint announcement was made today by queue CEO Juana Quick and Michelle Pfeiffer, Founder of Anna’s Angels. Anna’s Angels is named for Anna Merrills, daughter of Michelle Pfeiffer and Andrew Merrills. Anna was born on June 13, 2001 with the chromosomal abnormality, Down syndrome. Additionally, Anna was diagnosed in 2002 with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), a type of cancer that is more prevalent in people with Down syndrome. Pfeiffer and Merrills created Anna’s Angels in partnership with Duke Children’s Hospital to raise funds to promote laboratory and clinical research regarding Down syndrome. To-date, the organization has raised $950,000.
“We are honored to be working with Michelle and her family in helping to get the word out about this worthy cause”, said Quick. “When we read about Anna and her story, we knew it was the organization we wanted to assist with its marketing needs. We are pleased to be working with a locally-based charitable organization that raises money to fund projects at Duke, a world-renowned Triangle university heralded for its medical research,” said Quick.
The agency will provide marketing assistance to Anna’s Angels in various areas, including an updated logo and website. (www.annas-angels.org)
“We are thrilled that queue has chosen to help us with our marketing efforts in raising money for research grants,” said Pfeiffer. “Our vision is to improve the cognitive and communicative ability of individuals with Down syndrome to help them reach their full potential. With the help of queue we will be better able to reach our goal of becoming one of the largest private funders of Down syndrome research in the nation.”
